POS Watch Repair Feature

Enhancing repair tracking and efficiency by integrating watch service intake into the POS system.

Understanding

Brief

Design a POS service feature that enables store teams to process watch repair requests from customers, regardless of brand or purchase origin.

Problems

The watch repair intake process was previously managed through Google Sheets and Slack for communication between store team, service team and finance to confirm payment. Making it inefficient and difficult to track repair status and payments.

Goal

Digitize the watch repair workflow by replacing manual Google Sheets with an integrated POS form to improve efficiency and enable real-time status tracking.

Solutions

Draft Initial Idea

With a clear project scope, I initiated the design by reusing established components from existing flows, such as cart and checkout, to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Initial design draft to be reviewed and discussed with the team.

Requirements

During the discussion, I gathered key requirements to define the necessary data structure and workflow. These include:

Index-level (for tracking & overview):

  • Timestamp

  • Ticket ID

  • Service Type

  • Order Number

  • Customer Name

  • PIC

Detail-level (for full context):

  • Chat Link

  • Channel

  • Purchase Date

  • Purchase Source

  • City

  • Brand

  • SKU Code

  • Product Issue

  • Product Condition

  • Product Completeness

Finalization

After several days of iteration and design discussions, I finalized the flow, which is illustrated in the prototype below.

Project Overview & Impact:

Performance data from October 2025 to February 2026 highlights the feature's immediate impact on our offline operations:

  1. High Adoption Rate: Successfully generated 777 total service orders within the first few months of rollout.

  2. Strong Conversion: Secured 425 completed and paid transactions.

  3. Business Impact: Successfully validated the feature as a viable and highly profitable contributor to our offline store revenue model.

Why I Choose This Project?

I chose this project as it was my first project to handled at Jamtangan.com and had a meaningful impact on improving the store team’s usability and workflow.
